Compliance with Immunisation Requirements Procedure

  1. Enrolment & Record Keeping:
    • Parents must provide a copy of their child’s immunisation history statement upon enrolment.
    • Immunisation records will be reviewed and updated as required.
    • All immunisation records will be securely stored in compliance with privacy laws.


  1. Monitoring Immunisation Status:
    • Families will be reminded to update immunisation records when vaccinations are due.
    • Educators will review immunisation records annually to ensure compliance.


  1. Exclusion of Non-Immunised Children During Outbreaks:
    • Children who are not up to date with immunisations may be excluded from care during outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases as per public health guidelines.
    • Parents will be notified immediately if an outbreak occurs and exclusion is required.


  1. Staff Immunisation:
    • Educators are encouraged to stay up to date with their own immunisations, including influenza and whooping cough vaccines.
    • Proof of immunisation may be required for staff as per regulatory requirements.


  1. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Immunisation records will be provided to regulatory authorities if required.
    • The service will follow government guidelines and updates on immunisation requirements.
    • Any concerns regarding immunisation compliance will be discussed with families in a respectful and supportive manner.


  1. Communication with Families:
    • Parents will be informed of immunisation requirements upon enrolment and reminded as necessary.
    • Any changes to immunisation policies or government mandates will be communicated promptly.
